Sengirė Cinema: "Elements of (I)balance"„

The project "Sengirės Kinas", which combines cinema and environmental protection, invites you to a film screening Anykščiai L. and S. Didžiuliai Public Library. November 5 d. 6 p.m. The documentary film "Elements of (Im)balance" will be shown.

A documentary about nature's ability to renew, adapt and survive

From the regenerating forests of Central Europe and floating gardens in Bangladesh to large-scale nature restoration projects in China, the film tells the story of people learning from nature to find ways to revive damaged ecosystems and solve ecological problems. It reveals how natural laws can drive innovation in agriculture, architecture and other fields. The film invites us to rethink our relationship with the environment and seek more sustainable solutions for the future, working with nature, not against it.

„"Elements of(f) Balance"“ (dir. Othmar Schmiderer, 2025, Austria, 98 min.)

More about the project:

🌲 Sengirės Cinema is a project combining cinema and environmental education, inspired by the impact of Mindaugas Survila's film "Sengirė" on the protection of old-growth Lithuanian forests. Every month during the "Sengirės Cinema" week, which takes place throughout Lithuania, more than 80 screens in various cities and towns show a documentary film about nature and its protection, accompanied by presentations by scientists who broaden their perspectives.

The project is partly funded by the Lithuanian Film Centre and the Public Institution "Virtuioli".
