Library for everyone
Library for everyone
Anykščiai L. and S. Didžiuliai Public Library contributes to the initiative „Library for All“. This initiative aims to open the doors of Lithuanian public libraries more widely to visitors with different needs. In November 2020, the libraries were decorated with a unique sign – a colorful puzzle „Library for All“. The different colors of the elements and their combination show the ability to accept each other, despite our differences and diversity, and symbolize the intention of libraries to increase the accessibility of their services to people with various disabilities, promote public awareness and develop tolerance.
On the website www.bibliotekavisiems.lt You will find all library news, social stories, a media library and other useful information intended for the general public, library and education specialists, as well as visitors with various disabilities or their relatives.
The initiative "Library for All" is funded under the measure "Provide libraries with equipment and tools for socially and informationally excluded population groups" of the strategic action plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
