How to become a reader

How to become a library reader?

All citizens of Lithuania and foreign countries can become library readers.

To become a library reader, you need:

  • Get to know library usage rules.
  • Provide a passport or other identification document with a photo, personal identification number, and signature to the library employee.
  • Provide the librarian with the data necessary to complete the Library user registration form.
  • You can purchase a reader's card for free at the library or order it on the portal. www.ibiblioteka.lt.

The library uses the LIBIS (Lithuanian Integrated Library System) reader card.
LIBIS reader certificates are valid in all libraries that have implemented the LIBIS reader service subsystem.
Users who have purchased a LIBIS reader certificate at other libraries must register at the Library.

The LIBIS reader certificate is free.
